Being a huge Sir Ken Robinson ‘Fan’ I continue to review many of his talks and of course videos.
This is an interesting one, and to me highlights the point that ‘New’ technologies are not new to new students. It’s what they use because its there.
My only concern has been and continues to be the interaction between the Technology the Pedagogy and the Delivery. You can have all the best technology in the world – but if any of the other two fall short then the impact to the student can be disastrous.
Of course if any of these areas fall short there will be a deficit in the learning. Furthermore if the Pedagogy and Delivery fell short prior to the introduction of the Technology the Technology will only aid the speeding up of the ‘mess’.
“Technology is changing the world rapidly, impacting the way students learn and opening new possibilities for educators. Take a look what Sir Ken Robinson had to say when asked about the role of technology in education.”
