In these days of fast communication and information technology it’s worth considering the roll of pen to paper. Recent interviews with students underpin the need to take notes, not on an ipad or laptop but written notes – videos to follow…
This is also the case of understanding information and making notes creatively. Working with Tom Burns who recently ran a workshop to year 11 pupils from the London Academy (Edgware) School, Tom has highlighted the Six steps to success (SOCCER – also see: http://learning.londonmet.ac.uk/epacks/soccer/). The pupils have redirected their understand by producing their own interpretations in the form of creative drawings – the results of which can be seen below. This is a great way of retaining information of course but further to that it just looks cool!
